From Chronic Whiplash to Recovery: How My Client Got Her Life Back
Chronic pain can feel like a never-ending battle. For my client, whiplash pain had been a constant companion for two years, disrupting her sleep, work, and energy levels. She had tried everything—chiropractors, physiotherapists, and consultations with her GP—but nothing had brought her relief.
When she came to us, she described her pain as a daily struggle. On her worst days, the pain was an 8 out of 10, and even on average, it sat at a 6. Basic movements like turning her head were restricted, and the persistent discomfort left her exhausted.

Our Approach to Long-Term Pain Relief
We started with a comprehensive assessment. The good news? There were no issues with her discs or vertebrae. This meant her pain was muscular, caused by just three specific muscles. With this clarity, we developed a targeted treatment plan to focus on the root cause of her pain.
Here’s what we did:

Weekly Treatments for 4 Weeks: These sessions addressed the affected muscles, gradually relieving tension and improving function.

Follow-Up Sessions: After the initial phase, we spaced out two additional treatments to solidify the progress.

At-Home Mobility Exercises: To complement the hands-on treatments, Client 1 was given simple stretches and mobilisation exercises to perform at home.

Before-and-After Testing: We tested her range of motion and pain levels before and after each session to track improvement.

The Results
After completing the 4 weekly treatments, Client 1’s pain level dropped dramatically—from an 8 to a 2. For the first time in years, she regained full range of motion in her neck. The improvements didn’t stop there:

Better Sleep: With reduced pain, she was finally able to get quality rest.

Increased Energy Levels: Waking up refreshed allowed her to tackle her day with renewed enthusiasm.

Improved Quality of Life: She no longer felt held back by her condition.
Her Words: “I Feel Like I Have My Life Back”

Stories like these remind us why we do what we do. Chronic pain can steal so much from someone’s life, but with the right approach and personalised care, recovery is possible.

If you’re struggling with unresolved pain, don’t lose hope. Reach out to us for an assessment, and let’s work together to find the solution that works for you.
