My Lipoedema Journey: Healing, Hope & Transformation with Target Therapies”

How Lica at Target Therapies Helped Me Transform My Journey with Lipoedema

When I first came to see Lica at Target Therapies, I was three months postpartum and just over a year into my diagnosis with Lipoedema. I was feeling overwhelmed, unsure, and looking for ways to manage my condition. From our very first session, I felt completely at ease. Lica’s professionalism, paired with her natural warmth and friendliness, instantly made me feel supported and understood.

Over the last 10 months, lymphatic drainage massage has become a vital part of my self-care routine. Together, we experimented with different treatment frequencies – starting weekly, then monthly, and now finding the perfect balance with sessions every two weeks. This, alongside self-maintenance practices like gentle exercise, dry brushing, and an anti-inflammatory diet, has made a significant difference in my body and my confidence.

Today, my legs are far less painful, my skin feels smoother, and the tight ankle cuffs that once bothered me are gone. I’ve even dropped two dress sizes! The massages themselves are deeply relaxing – though they can be tiring, which is normal due to the way the lymphatic system processes drainage. I’ve learned that evening sessions work best for me, allowing me to unwind and enjoy a restful sleep after treatment.

Lica is truly amazing. She invests so much time into understanding her clients’ individual needs and tailors her approach to provide the best possible support. She is constantly learning and advancing her knowledge about the lymphatic system, always striving to offer the most informed and up-to-date care.

My only regret? Not taking progress photos to fully appreciate how far I’ve come. But looking back, I know that Lica has played such a huge role in my journey — and I couldn’t be more grateful.

If you are considering lymphatic drainage massage or are living with Lipoedema, I could not recommend Lica and Target Therapies highly enough!
