Book Reiki

Reiki is a holistic healing practice that centres around the concept of balancing the universal life force energy, known as “ki” or “chi.” Originating from Japan, Reiki emphasises the harmonious equilibrium between the complementary aspects of energy flow. According to Reiki philosophy, an imbalance in this life force energy can lead to various physical and mental health issues. Reiki practitioners channel energy through their hands, directing it into the recipient’s body to promote healing and to restore balance.

What to expect during a Reiki session

Upon arrival at your Reiki session, you will be warmly greeted by your practitioner. The session typically begins with a brief discussion about your health and any specific concerns you may have. You will then be invited to lie down, fully clothed, on a comfortable surface. The Reiki practitioner will place their hands gently on or near specific energy points on your body.

During the session, you may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of relaxation. Reiki is generally a gentle and non-invasive practice, making it suitable for individuals of all ages.

FAQs about Reiki

Reiki sessions are available in Reigate, Belvedere House, Basingstoke and Sherfield-on-Loddon clinics. Reiki is available as an optional add-on with Shiatsu at Basingstoke Sports Centre.

It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing to your session. Bringing a bottle of water is recommended to stay hydrated post-treatment.

After your Reiki treatment, it is recommended to drink plenty of water to aid in the release of toxins and support the healing process.

While Reiki is generally safe, it is advisable to consult with your doctor, especially if you have recently undergone surgery or started a new course of medical treatment.

The frequency of Reiki sessions depends on individual needs and goals. Regular sessions, whether weekly or monthly, often result in sustained well-being. Reiki is also available as part of our membership packages to make regular sessions more accessible.

I am currently awaiting possible full shoulder replacement due to major wear and tear which is causing enormous pain and restriction of movement. With a mixture of massage of the muscles and soft tissue near, but not on the shoulder blade or upper arm, and some reflexology Jen was able to reduce the pain and make some arm movements much less painful. Pending surgery I expect more visits to keep as much pain at bay as possible.

Thank you for the deep muscle massage sessions to help me with the pain I have been experiencing in my arm.  Already in the first session I felt a lot better and after the second I can now ride my bike without the intense burning sensation. I also enjoyed the more relaxing therapies I had at your pamper evening, well done to you and your team.
