Our recommendation

“Shiatsu is a powerful tool that everyone yearns for, often without realising it. The term Shiatsu comes from Shi (fingers) and atsu (pressure), signifying that touch is a means of taking care of ourselves and others. Regular shiatsu treatments can result in improved sleep, posture, breathing, and overall psychophysical condition, leading to a more fulfilling way of life.” – our Lead Therapist

What to expect during a Shiatsu sessimassageon

After being greeted by your therapist, a short consultation will be held to identify any specific issues you are experiencing. Shiatsu is a clothed session and will take place on a large comfortable mat on the floor of the treatment room. This treatment does not require the removal of clothes or the use of oils. It is an ideal treatment for those who find it difficult to get up onto a massage bed, prefer over the clothes treatments and for those who are in need of rebalancing treatment.

I have been getting regular massage therapy to help me to manage my fibro. I have now been to 2 sessions with Gaia, having never had Shiatsu before, and although I wasn’t sure what to expect the session was amazing and left me relaxed and comfortable in my body. I am eagerly awaiting my 3rd session. Thank you!
