What to expect during a Thai massage

After being greeted by your therapist, a short consultation will be held to identify specific ailments and desired outcomes of treatments. For each session, the treatment mat will be laid out ready on the floor of the treatment room, and you will be asked to lay fully clothed on the mat where the treatment will commence.

During the treatment, your therapist will use a variety of techniques including elbows, thumbs, hands, arms and knees to effectively stretch, pull, rock and massage to full effect. Some treatments may even involve use of the therapist’s feet and body weight.
Thai massage was never designed to be relaxing in the traditional sense but may be uncomfortable in places. We encourage you to communicate with your therapist throughout to get maximum benefit from your session.
